This has been a long, busy week!!! So much has happened and I am ready for Christmas break. I am definitely glad I have Monday off.
After I posted on Tuesday night, poor Manny woke up completely disillusioned. He had no idea what day it was and he thought he was late for work (on Wednesday). Haha! I was laughing so hard.
Wednesday night, Manny and I watched this movie on Netflix called "The Forgotten." It was a really good thriller. The main character has a son who died. Everyone was trying to convince her that she never had a son. Thursday night we watched a movie called "Insomnia." It was about a detective who killed his partner. The whole movie he was investigating a case and the case of him killing his partner was being investigated since he had lied about killing his partner. This was another good thriller movie. Both times I fell asleep right before the end of the movie, so Thursday night Manny sent me to bed at 8:30. He stayed up and played video games.
On Thursday we went to dinner at Madres Mexican Restaurant. Afterwards Manny and I got Ice cream. He made a little baby ice cream cone...
I offered to give him mine, but he didn't want it.
Yesterday one of my kids brought me a box of tissues which is perfect because I am starting to not feel so well. One of the stinky things about working with kids. I also got a sample of a boogie wipe in the mail. It also came with a puff's tissue sample.
Another sample I got was some all natural disinfectant wipes...
Last night we went shopkicking. We stopped at Kirkland's and saw this gorgeous painting:
I want to try painting something like that :-)
We also bought this amazing Gelatto from Kroger. It came in these cute little tubs and Manny said "We can reuse them!" Haha He is starting to think like a teacher.
I was vacuuming and mopping today. Muñeca thought it was a game. She ran away from the vacuum to hide and then ran back out. She enjoyed chasing the mop back and forth. After cleaning, I got some water. I dropped an ice cube in the ground. Muñeca carried it around the house.
I couldn't get a picture of her holding it in her mouth, but oh well. She cracks me up!!! Manny thought she would be a boring dog because she doesn't have another dog to play with. I think she's good.
I hope everyone has a blessed three day weekend :-)
I make mistakes. I am not perfect. I am merely human. I have thoughts constantly flowing through my head and in order to stay sane I need to express my thoughts on paper. This is me in blog form.

Busy busy!!!
Last night Manny worked a 24 hour shift at a fire station. They had 12 calls. He was telling me all about them while he drove me to work. He went to my parent's house after dropping me off. He said he wanted to just stay there and sleep. Poor guy only got 45ish minutes of sleep. At least he has a few days to recover before his next 24 hour shift.
Manny didn't get much sleep today either because he has to take Muñeca for her 8 week shots. The Vet noted that she is skinny! She recommended a whole bunch of fancy dog foods to fatten her up. I told Manny that in a year or so she will be noting on Muñeca's chart that she is too fat. Hahaha!! She eats when she wants so I am not worried about her. I really rather not have a fat wiener dog. The vet also cleaned Muñeca's ears and Manny said they were really dirty. He was embarrassed. I told him there was no way all the earwax was from her time with us. We have only had her for three weeks. The vet gave us some ear cleaner. This vet is fancy. Man!! Haha
Yesterday one of my kids went home crying. He doesn't know much English. Poor baby. Apparently he was upset because he bought a lunch but his mom had packed him one. Today when his mom picked him up, he was jumping up and down. It was cute! He really enjoyed math time :-) and he ate the lunch his mom packed him. Seeing his excitement is what makes me want to teach.
Tomorrow I am getting a new student. At least it's not like last year where I got a new student 10 days before summer. In Kindergarten, you are constantly teaching and reteaching, so it shouldn't be hard to bring her up to speed. Should be fun! Hoping our numbers stay low though. I like having 18.
On a side note, I am not the only one to set off the smoke detectors in this building. Manny and I were sitting in the livingroom and we heard this loud beeping sound. We were just continuing doing what we were doing, then we looked at each other. Right when I said "I think it's a smoke detector. I wonder where it's coming from," the smoke alarm stopped. I am not embarrassed anymore for setting off the smoke detector. I have been pretty proactive when I am cooking. No new smoke detector stories. I hope it stays that way for a while *knock on wood*.
I hope everyone has a wonderful evening and a blessed Wednesday :-) I am going to try to go to bed again early. I went to bed at 8:30 last night. It was so nice except that Muñeca knew it wasn't bed time because Manny wasn't home. She stayed up playing and barking. She better sleep tonight!! Haha

Firsts
Whew!! I am alive! Today was the first day of school. I don't think this year will be too bad. I have a few chatty ones, but I can deal with that. I pray it's only talking, no misbehaviors.
It was fun getting to see my old students. I definitely miss them though. I had them trained well. Now I have to break in a whole new group... 176 more school days! Haha
What's crazy is that by the time I got home from work at 5:30, I had been awake for over 12 hours. I am definitely feeling that.
There's nothing like coming home to a puppy happy to see you :-) I missed her while I was at school. I wish I could bring her with me. I know the kids wouldn't mind. Haha
Yesterday I decided to make soft pretzels. They were sooooo good!!
The top two are cinnamon sugar and the other two are plain.
The two on the right are parmesan and the two on the left are salted.
Manny had a shift yesterday at a hospital. It was his first clinical as an EMT. He was in the ER. He had a lot of fun. He has two 24 hour shifts this week. Boo!! At least he is having fun.
Ok well this grandma needs to go to bed! I can't keep my eyes open any longer.

Stop and rest
Sorry I disappeared for a while, but as many of you know, it's back to school time *insert tears here.*
Thursday we had meetings at school. Our principal allowed us a few hours in the morning to work in our rooms. I started writing the kids' names on everything. So many things to write their names on!!! Class lists we posted Thursday afternoon. I left school not too long after 4pm because I had a massive headache. The dust and mold in the building bothers me a lot. Hopefully it gets better and not everyday ends with a headache.
We had "Meet the Teacher" and "Parent Orientation" Friday evening. I got the chance to meet all of my kids. Manny took their pictures so I could put their pictures on their book boxes. I will be doing that sometime this week. *Fingers crossed*
Here is my room all ready for Meet the Teacher! I will have to take a close up of their tables. Each student has a cup with their crayons, pencil, scissors, and glue stick in it.
For "Meet the Teacher," I put an "All about me" paper on their tables so they could read about me :-) I also put a paper of how to sign up for remind 101 which is a way to text your parents without them getting your phone number. It's pretty cool. I hope to get a good response about it from the parents. Lastly, I put a poem on their tables. Our awesome Kinder Team Lead found this cute poem to read the night before school starts. We put a little bag of confetti in with the poem because in the poem it says to sprinkle some under their pillow for a great year :-)
Friday night, Manny and I watched the movie "Olympus has Fallen." I fell asleep at the end so I didn't know what happened. I told Manny I wanted to finish it before he took it back to Redbox. He told me I should've stayed awake. Haha how rude! He let me finish it though. Movies like that are so funny! One guy saving everyone. Macgyver! It was a pretty good movie though.
Today has been emotionally draining! I have done so much crying it's not even funny. First Manny had to tell me that something was wrong with Muñeca while I was at a wedding shower. My sister offered to take me home, but I stuck it out and stayed. Later today some more drama happened. I am just worn out. Manny and I went grocery shopping around 4 and my eyes were just killing me. I just wanted to sleep. I am not sure what all of this means or why this is happening to me, but I am still moving on. I saw this on Facebook and it just got me thinking...

"Don't worry about people TALKING about you. If no one is TALKING about you, then you're not doing ANYTHING. And the only REASON they're not talking about you then, is because they don't know you EXIST. Let the dogs BARK, but the caravan keeps MOVING."
Well this caravan is still moving! Haha!
To end on a lighter note, I changed the sheets the other day. Manny decided that he wants to sleep under the mattress pad because it is cooler. Bahahahaha!!
The bed is a little lumpy :-)
I hope everyone had a restful Saturday. Enjoy your Sunday and go to church! Haha :-)

Warning!!
Today all teachers had to go to a Professional Development (fancy word for training) at various schools throughout the district. I went to one about using a prompting guide when I am with my reading groups. Well the presenter did not talk about the book. Ugh. So I still have no idea how this book is supposed to be used. Lame! Oh well...
I got home at 4:30 and let the dog out. We lock her in the bathroom while we are at work. She had peed in two spots and pooped on her pee pad. When I was trying to flush her poop, she decided to walk through it. I had to give the dog a bath, then I was able to clean up the bathroom. Fun fun! Today we bought 101 training pads for her. It has 101 because of the 101 Dalmatians. I wonder how many pee pads they needed!?!
Not long after I finished cleaning up, Manny called saying he was headed home from work. Usually he doesn't call until 5 and he gets home by 6. So poop! I was going to make bread for dinner, but his coming home early didn't leave me enough time. When he got home, I told him the bread would be late. He said it would be dessert. Haha I made french bread!! I was testing out my yeast because I thought maybe it was dead, but nope, it is good. Yay!!!
I got up at 5 again today to go run. Woohoo! Only 180 more days of that. I think I can... I know my oldest sister has already placed her bets on when I will stop getting up at 5 to run. We shall see :-P Go ahead and make your bets. You won't hurt my feelings.
I hope everyone has a blessed hump day :-)

When I was packing Manny's lunch, I put some chips in a bag. I had tried a whole chip the other day and my mouth was on fire. This time one little tiny crumb fell on the counter so I ate it. I thought a crumb wouldn't be very spicy. I was wrong. Believe the bag!!!
Like the bag says... It was "freakin' hot" and that caution tape is for real!

Back to business
Yesterday I had my first experience with getting ink out of clothes. Yay! Manny accidentally left two pens in his uniform shirts. Luckily the pens didn't explode, but his shirts were covered in little pen marks. I ran to Kroger to get some pen remover while Manny washed his shirts the old fashion way by stepping on them in the bathtub. Haha! I got home and he pulled the shirts out of the tub. A lot of the pen mark was gone, but I put some stain remover on the stops that were still there. He chose the best shirt and I ironed it so he could wear it today. He took his other three shirts to show the Chief and he will be able to get new shirts Friday. I had warned Manny that I don't check pockets. Now he knows that I really don't. Maybe I should. Especially since sometimes I end up with toys in my pockets at work.
Today was my first day back at work. Man, if only the kids knew how much work we do. People probably think teaching is such a skate job. Work 7:45-3:45 and get off all summer. Psh! If people only knew... If the people who create the laws for schools only knew. Ha! I usually work 50-60 hours a week. Trust me, I have worked my summer!
So far this year is going well. I don't feel as overwhelmed as I did this time last year. I hope this continues. I would love to have a nice calm year! Every teacher's dream :-) Last year wasn't too bad after the first nine weeks. The very first week is so critical! It sets the tone for the rest of the year. Last year, the first nine weeks were spent trying to get my kids to listen. This year, I hope I can accomplish that in half the time. That's my goal! My room is ready and I think I'm ready. Bring on the kids!
I hope I don't seem like I don't like my job. I love teaching kids!!! It is definitely a passion of mine. The only thing I dislike is getting up early. I am not a morning person at all. This year I decided I am going to work out before school so I got up at 5am this morning. When I got to the gym, Nick@Nite was on TV. Seriously!?! Even the TV knows that 5am is not morning! We shall see how long this getting up at 5 thing lasts. The only thing that helps is that Manny gets up at 5 to go to work too. As I leave for the gym, he leaves for work. He runs on very little sleep. Man I need my 10 hours or I get grumpy. Haha
As everyone gets back into their routines and gets ready to send little ones off to school, I pray that your nights are full of rest and your mornings are full of peace :-) Have a blessed evening. Enjoy your family time!

Blessed
Today has been an exciting day! We went to Office Depot this morning at 9am for their Teacher Appreciation Day. I got a bag with a planner and a fancy pin (the button on top isn't a clicker, it's an eraser!!). Manny and I stuck around for the raffle. We ate out breakfast tacos courtesy of Rudy's. Their BBQ is definitely better than their breakfast tacos that's for sure! But oh well, it was free.... I won one of the raffle items. I got an X-Acto Pencil Sharpener. I already had one at school, so now I have one at home :-) The second Office Depot we went to, gave me a bag with a planner and a fancy pen too. We ate our fruit and Chick-Fil-A breakfast sandwich while we waited for the raffle. I won!!! This time I had a choice between a teacher rolling cart, a wireless mouse, or a 32GB flashdrive... I chose the flashdrive. I don't know if I will ever fill 32GBs. Sweet!!
When I told my oldest sister that I had won, she wasn't surprised. I bet my mom won't be either when I tell her. I'm not lucky, just blessed :-)
The goods:
After Office Depot, we went to my last soccer game for the summer. Luckily the fall season starts in a few weeks! I can't miss soccer for long. Haha
The most exciting part of today was finishing my classroom. YAY!!!! I finally managed to put everything where it belongs. I didn't take a lot of detail shots, I only took one from the doorway, but now you can see the tabletops. Sweet!
All ready to go! Just add minions.
I almost cried last night thinking about going back to work. I have to stay positive and tell myself it's going to be a good year. It will be a busy year for sure, but I can do it. I cannot be defeated and I refuse to quit.
I'm glad to be back with all my teacher friends. I missed them a lot over the summer. I told Manny I want a job where I don't have to do any work, I just have to socialize with my friends :-) If only life was that easy. Haha
Well I have a few more projects to finish for school. I need to get to work. Plus when Manny finishes this chapter, we are going to watch another episode of The Bachelorette. Two more episodes to go!!! Yes!!
Have a wonderful weekend and be blessed :-)

Poof Balls
Short post because Manny and I are going to watch The Bachelorette. Yes the season is over, but with his EMT class we got a little behind. Ahhhhh!! I want to know what happens.
I got some work done on my classroom. Tomorrow I should be done. Yay! I discovered that I am a hoarder. Here's some proof...
PAPER CLIPS!!! I asked Manny if there were hoarder anonymous classes I could attend. I need some help :-( I used to call it being frugal, but this is bad!
Today I was able to put my poof balls in my classroom. I made them with white tissue paper...
I sprayed them with food coloring and water:
Hung them outside before I sprayed them:
Then I sprayed them:
And Ta-duh!!! Here is a red one all done:
Tomorrow I will post pictures of how they look in my classroom. Alright, Bachelorette time!!

Paper
Today was a lazy morning. I've been enjoying my last week of not setting my alarm. I got up this morning at 10:30. It's hard to believe that next week I will be working at 10:30. Where did summer go? Come back!!!!
This afternoon I discovered why people are crazy drivers other than having diarrhea. I was driving my friend to the doctor and her phone was giving us directions. It was saying keep right and so I was keeping right and then bam! The phone says turn left. I can't turn left from the right hand lane. Dumb Siri!!
Driving home from the doctor, I was directionally challenged again. We were trying to go home, but Downtown kept getting closer. I know where I am once I get Downtown, but I didn't need to go that far, so we turned around. We made it home. No worries. I could've just used my phone to figure out to get home. Hahaha oh well!
Next week Manny finishes his EMT course. This weekend he has to read 15 chapters. He has his two final test and then he has clinicals. He has to deliver a baby!! I told him not to pass out. Haha
I didn't go to my classroom today, but I will tomorrow. Manny will get to read his chapters while I work. Fun fun!!
I stopped at Dollar Tree to pick up some contact paper. Our laminator at school is broken so I figured covering stuff with contact paper would work fine. The contact paper I had at was not sticking. I tried googling "How to make contact paper stick better to itself." Google came up with some pretty strange hits. I'm not going to say what I found on my blog... If you want to know, just google it. I don't recommend it though. Haha alright so I was covering some things with contact paper and I would through the paper backing on the ground. Muñeca thought it was a toy for her. I was cracking up! I caught some of it on video.
The part of the video where Muñeca isn't in the screen was when I got distracted. I was looking at something else. Oops! I am not the best videotaper obviously. Haha Manny said our dog would be boring because she doesn't have a friend to play with... I think she's good. Hahaha
I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the summer. Get some rest :-)

Trips
This morning I was leaving my apartment and the handicap parking spot lady was getting in her car. I was afraid she was going to come over and talk to me about taking her spot. Haha
I drove my parents to the airport. Lucky them! They are going on an Alaskan Cruise to celebrate their 30th anniversary. Our wedding got in the way of them celebrating on their actual anniversary. I wish I was going with them. How fun!!
Driving home from the airport, I knew that I would eventually get home because 610 is a loop, but I may just go in a longer circle. I made it home without going in a huge circle. Yay! I have always stunk at driving on freeways. I am directionally challenged I guess.
When I got home, I gave Muñeca a yogurt container. She was having a blast!!
After she was done with the yogurt container, I gave her a rawhide bone. It's almost as long as she is! Haha
Well tomorrow I am going up to my classroom. I am hoping to be able to finish my room. I am so close to being done. Oh man! I hope this is a good school year. I pray that everyone has a wonderful school year :-)

You just need to laugh!
I was thinking about what I was going to write today and I was all ready to go on a rant about something that has been bothering me. While I was thinking about how I was going to word everything, I just felt like God said "It doesn't matter." So I had to let it go right then. It's good to be able to get things off your chest, but I'm not here to case drama or be a butt. Ranting, in this case, wasn't going to help anything. I let it go. It's over and done with. Life isn't fair and it never will be, but I'm not going to let that keep me down.
This afternoon I went over to my sister's house. A few days ago, I had parked in a handicap spot in front of our building. This lady ALWAYS parks in that spot, but I took it on Thursday. Well today I finally moved my car. When I walked out to my car, the lady's son was out there cleaning his mom's car. Of course, she was parked in the spot next to me. He asked me "Is this really a handicap car?" I replied "Yes, my husband served in the Marine Corp and he is a disabled vet." The guy said "Oh ok. My mom thought it was a stolen vehicle parked in that spot trying to get back at her. She was pretty mad." I said "Yeah I bet! Sorry about that, but my husband really is handicap." I got in my Jeep and saw him run back inside. I guess he had to go tell his mom what happened.
It made me laugh that she thought someone was getting back at her. She always parks in the same handicap spot. Someone used to park on the white lined out spot next to the handicap spot (the white lined spot that gives room for ramps on handicap vehicles). Well she showed them not to park there anymore by parking over the line, so she is half in the handicap spot and half on the white lined out spot.
Well now I know it's her spot. My bad! Before I park somewhere next time, I will check for a name on the spot. Hahaha! Just in case you think I am being mean, just know I have seen this lady before and her handicap isn't visible, just like Manny's isn't.
Poor Manny always has the handicap parking spot police eyeing him. He has quite a few stories about people policing him. One lady at Walmart looked at both of us and said "You parked in a handicap spot." Manny is always polite and he told the lady "Yes ma'am, I am a disabled veteran."
When we went to PetSmart the other day, this lady was hardcore eyeing the Jeep. She was checking all over for a handicap hang tag which Manny didn't put up, but he doesn't need to. We were watching this lady just waiting for her to say something. One of these days, I know one of these handicap parking spot police are really going to call the cops. That will be a sight to see! This is how the phone call would go down...
"Hello Officer! This kid parked in a handicap spot. His license plate number is DV..."
"Ma'am let me stop you right there. DV means Disable Veteran. He can park there."
"Oh ok. Thanks!"
Bahahahaha!!! I can just see that happening. I can't blame them though. I used to not know what DV meant either. Oh people! Haha
Summer is quickly drawing to a close and it makes me sad. I pray that everyone has a wonderful school year :-) And in case you were wondering, Muñeca is doing fine.

Organization
Today has been pretty eventful. I had a little freak out moment when Muñeca swallowed a peanut m&m. I have been keeping a close eye on her since. I have been checking her pulse and her breathing to make sure the caffeine isn't affecting her too much. So far she is ok.
Right after she ate the m&m, I tried to induce vomiting. If you've ever tried, you know it is pretty hard to get a dog to throw up by sticking your finger down their throat. I was reading online what to do and one person suggested diluting the chocolate by having the dog eat a lot. This way the chocolate will be digested very slowly. I gave her a lot of can food. Poor baby was whining because she ate too much. She's been sleeping ever since. Her belly is too big to move around. She couldn't even crawl into my lap. We took her over to my parent's house to celebrate my mom's birthday. She just wanted to sleep... Hopefully she is better tomorrow.
I made my desk organizer!!!! The other day when I was cleaning my classroom, I was going through all my office supplies. Muñeca was busy sleeping in my lap.
When I got up, she stayed right where she was. She was out cold.
I bought my desk organizer from Home Depot. Lowe's was out and they said they should be getting them in the next month. I wasn't going to hold my breath on that so I went to Home Depot. It looked like this:
The ones at Lowe's are blue, but I was fine with gray. If I get bored with the color, I can cover it with contact paper.
Next I made the labels which I downloaded from TeachersPayTeachers. You can download it and edit it to say whatever you want. These are mine:
I may end up changing a few based on what I need more room for. I have four boxes of paper clips, plus magnetic paper clip holders full of paper clips too. I like the big paper clips the best!! The ones covered with plastic are even better, but they still have to be the big ones :-)
I cut all the labels out. I used double sided tape to tape the labels to the inside of the drawers. I can't wait to use it!!! The finished product:
It took me less than thirty minutes to make this and it will help me condense the Office Depot that I own in my classroom. Haha
Time to get back to watching my baby. Have a blessed night :-)

Breathe!
Yesterday I was able to get a lot of work done on my classroom. I meant to post pictures yesterday but we were busy with Manny's mom coming home and all. So I shall post pictures now :-)
The kids mailboxes are near the door. They put all their papers they complete in class into their mailboxes. I have them empty their mailboxes every Friday.
This corner is my writing station. I revamped the blue mailbox my sister gave me by putting contact paper on it. I am going to put different types of paper in each of the mailbox slots.
Here you can see the front of the classroom. The library is near the front, but I like it being near the window. Last year I had it in a corner against a wall. I like it much better this year. Easy access in case I forgot to pull a book for a lesson or I need to fill a few minutes of extra time. I love books!!!
Here's the other half of the front of the room and my corner where you can see Manny studying.
Our word wall and computers. I need to put the letters on the word wall.

My big bulletin board on my back wall. It has a pocket chart for math stations, my helper chart, science word wall words, literacy stations, and the blank spot is where I am going to put the kid's birthdays.
I had to take this close up of the writing station because Muñeca was sleeping at the bottom of the tree.
Our classroom library :-) The paper on the wall makes it look like they're reading in a meadow. I cheated when I put my curtains up... They are just stuck in the ceiling tiles. Shhhh don't tell anyone! Haha I need to get a short curtain rod.

Lastly, here is a view from the door :-) Ignore all the stuff on the tables and in the corner on the floor. I realized yesterday I own a Office Depot. I guess I am an office supply hoarder. I had ten boxes of 5000 count staples. I had a foot tall stack of sticky notes. HELP! Hi my name is Alicia and I have a problem. Haha
I hope you all enjoyed the pictures :-) Hopefully the next pictures are of my finished room. Yay!!

Progress
I was able to get some work done on my room today. I told Manny I didn't feel like I'd done much but he said that I did.
Ok so before pictures...
And what I got done today...
This is the corner for our classroom library. The rug is flipped over because I just painted the little stools green so they are still wet. I am going to put a background in the classroom library and see how it looks.
This wall has our classroom computers. Each classroom has four student computers. The green boxes on the blackboard are for the word wall.
This is our meeting place. Clearly it's still a work in progress.
The back corner is the writing station. I am going to put different types of paper in the blue mailbox. The green buckets are the kids' book boxes. Later in the year their book boxes will be full of books!!!
These shelves have everything for math stations and literacy stations.
Obviously I still have furniture to move around and rearrange. I am still thinking about what will go on the back bulletin board and the bulletin board above my desk. Lots to think about and I only have one week. EEEKKKK! Manny said we can go back tomorrow and he will study while I work. Today he was studying while I worked, but he helped me move some of the heavy furniture. He also got distracted when I gave him a bucket of legos :-) That bucket of legos made the trip home with us. Haha!
We were going to take Muñeca to school with us, but it was a good thing we didn't. We were both super hungry when I got to a stopping point, so we went to eat. We also went to Home Depot to see if there was a way to rig our patio fence so Muñeca can stay on the patio while we are at work. We saw some lattice and some garden fence stuff. I told Manny that I would be worrying all day about someone taking her... So we are still thinking of what to do. She may have to come to school with me :-) I am sure the kids won't mind!
Ok now it's time to go finish my projects. Almost done! I can't wait to share them.
Ok so before pictures...
This is my corner with my computer and desk. I pull the kids for guided reading at the kidney shaped table.
This is the bulletin board where I put the "Star Student of the Week" poster. I choose a different kid each week to create a poster about himself/herself. It is on this bulletin board all week long.

Tricks
Last night we out smarted Muñeca. She likes to sleep on my side of the bed on the floor next to my slippers and bedside table. Manny doesn't like her not sleeping in her dog cage. So I moved the cage to the corner she likes to sleep in and put one of my slippers in there. It worked!! She went to sleep.
She's the small black blob in the picture. I closed the gate but at 1 am she started going crazy!! I opened the door. She went and played with her toy for a while and then went back to bed.
Today I gave her a bath because she has been scratching a lot. I think the ants are getting her when we take her to go potty. Poor baby!
After her bath she was shivering since she has no body fat. I covered her with a towel and she buried her face in the towel.
Muñeca got to meet one of her grandma's today, an aunt, her cousin, and her dog aunt. Her dog aunt, Bonnie Blue, is part Siberian Husky. Bonnie Blue didn't seem to mind her, but my mom didn't want to leave Muñeca alone outside with Bonnie Blue just in case Muñeca made Bonnie Blue mad.
What I find funny about Muñeca is that after she eats, she has lumps sticking out of her sides. Hahahaha!!!
I took Muñeca outside to go potty and this little boy was walking his dog. He had dropped the leash so I quickly picked up my dog. Then we had a very ADHD conversation...
He said "Oh your dog is actually kind of cute!"
I replied "Thanks so is yours. How old is she?"
He said "I think two months or maybe a month and a half."
I said "That's how old my dog is, about six weeks."
He said "I'll buy your dog for twenty bucks."
I replied "We paid a little more than that for her."
He said "Oh yeah! Well we paid $500 for our dog because she is an Australian Shepherd. I'll give you $3,000 for your dog."
I replied "I don't think you have that much money."
He responded "Just kidding. I don't have that much money."
I asked "What's her name?"
He stated "We called her Butter but her real name is Kevin. I'm not sure why I named a girl dog Kevin. She likes to stalk people and go into their houses. Try going into your house and she will follow you."
I opened my door.
The dog was busy smelling stuff elsewhere.
He said "I'm trying to teach her how to run without me holding the leash. Watch this."
He ran off and I yelled bye. As I was going inside, I heard him yell bye back and then start talking to someone else "Hey what kind of dog is that?"
BAHAHAHAHAA!!! Oh children! I told Manny and he just laughed at me.
Tomorrow I plan on doing some work in my classroom. The new school year is quickly approaching and I only have two weeks to prep my room. Hopefully I can get a lot done tomorrow. We shall see!

Projects
Last night, Muñeca actually let us sleep. At first we put her in a dog cage, but as soon as she realized she was locked in, she started whining. We moved her cage so she could sleep near my side of the bed. For some reason she likes to sleep next to my slippers. You can see her in between the trashcan and slippers...
I went to Starbucks with Steph this morning. We had fun talking. It's always good to catch up with friends :-)
Afterwards I went to my school and the AC was on. Yay!! I didn't want to stay long because Muñeca was at home alone. When I got home, she had pulled all her blankets out of her bed and spread them everywhere. I guess she got bored.
I printed out some stuff today for some projects I am making for my classroom. I will post pictures of the finished products of everything I'm making, but for now, here's a preview of what's to come...
These are for my desk organizer:
These are for a sound check clip chart:
These are for a clip chart of "How we go home:"
These are for my birthday chart I will put on a bulletin board:
This is for a clip chart of where we are in case someone is looking for us:
Lastly, this is a book I am making about how to treat books nicely:
I am excited to make all these projects!!! Now I need to get to work cutting these things.
